Martin Knauss graduated from Mohave High School in Bullhead City, AZ and continued his education at the University of Wyoming. He graduated with a BS in Petroleum Engineering and after a 35 year career with a large, multinational oil and gas company he retired in Laughlin, NV. He is also a Professional Engineer.
Towards the end of his career he managed the rig operations in the Rocky Mountain region. His focus was on safety and efficiency. He also worked with small companies in improving their safety and management systems to become eligible to provide services to the company he worked for.
He is a board member and President of Laughlin Economic Development Corporation (LEDC). The mission of the LEDC is to create and implement a collaborative venture among civic and business leaders in the town of Laughlin, to promote the health, welfare and quality of life for the residents of Laughlin through economic development.
In 2001, Ron decided to join the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Ron has worked for the department for 21 years and has worked many assignments within the Sheriff’s Department: Jail, Patrol, School Resource Officer, Undercover ABC Operations, Boats, Courts, FTO, and as a Resident Sheriff. Ron is now assigned to the Needles Station and lives in Laughlin, Nevada, where he has lived for 14 years with his wife and family.
While living in Laughlin, Nevada, Ron has belonged to many organizations. American Heart Association, Kiwanis, PTA, the Tri-State Museum board, and the Hobo Stew board. Ron is a lifetime member of the Master Masons and the AL Malaikah Shrine Club. Ron taught classes for the Laughlin community: Child & Adult Self Defense, Human Trafficking, Gang Awareness, Computer Predators, and Drug Awareness (just to name a few).
Ron held a Tri-State Community Safety event at Mountain View Park in Laughlin, where he had numerous law enforcement departments from the tri-state area and all branches of the military in attendance. They had booths where the children could walk around and get free give-aways and information. While at the event parents and their children were given information about child safety. The children were all fingerprinted and the parents were given a copy of their child’s prints.
Ron continues to support the town of Laughlin by joining the Laughlin Economic Development Corporation (LEDC). He looks forward to helping the LEDC and the residents of Laughlin work together to make a stronger, safer, healthier, long lasting community. Together we can accomplish anything.
Cheryl Crow moved to Laughlin in July 1988, with her husband and youngest daughter. She quickly became involved with the Laughlin Baptist church, which later became the Laughlin Community church. Cheryl and her family opened a barber shop Kruz-N-Kuts in January 1991, which still operates today.
Over the past 25 years Cheryl has taken on many initiatives to serve the community including the Juvenile Prevention Committee, the board of Bobby Socks Softball and Laughlin Little League. She worked on the Booster Club board for six years and was a member of the Laughlin Town Advisory Board for seven years. Today Cheryl is actively involved with the Pro-Teens Youth group at the Laughlin Community Church and has been the president of Laughlin Republican Women since 2012. She recently became a board member of the LEDC, where she will continue to be involved with improving the community that she loves and plans to spend the rest of her life in.
Gina Mackey
Gina grew up in the country in Texas and relocated to California when she was a pre-teen. Gina successfully raised two children in Southern California where she worked full time as the Manager of Market Research for Warner Bros. for a decade. Her analytical skills along with Marketing, and Sales has helped her career along the way.
Gina moved here full time In Laughlin, NV in May of 2015 and is successfully working as a Realtor at a local Brokerage in town. During the Pandemic, Gina spent her time on studying for her Broker Salesperson’s License which was awarded in . Gina’s interest in the community has led her to work with the LEDC and was active on the Communications Committee. Gina’s interest has also lead her to run for the 2016 first ever elected Town Advisory Board where she served as Chairperson for her last term.
Gina describes herself as having Passion for the people here in the community township of Laughlin. Where she hopes to help bring services and resources to the townspeople.

Danny Vander Loop was born in Azusa California, he worked as A Production Manager for the Door and Window industry in California for 20 years. Danny relocated to Las Vegas Nevada in 2003 with his company. Danny started his own Door, Cabinet and Furniture Manufacturing Business in 2009, in 2013 he started working in his family's business where he currently works from home as a Project Manager For Grand Openings Doors and Windows in Pomona California.
Danny and his Family moved to Laughlin in 2016 after being a Loyal Laughlin Visitor since his adolescent years,. Danny is a proud Laughlin Resident where he and his High school sweet heart will spend the rest of their days.
Lisa has been a resident in the Tri State area for 19 years, she now resides in Laughlin. She grew up in Mississippi and is a mother of five children.
Lisa is the General Manager of Nevada Made Marijuana here in Laughlin, her interest in the community has led her to work with the LEDC and be a board member.
Darin is the owner of Hill Grocery Company based in Ridgway, Colorado. Hill Grocery Company owns and operates The Market at Laughlin.
He joined the LEDC Board of Directors in 2021.
